International Week of Deaf People 2026 | International Day of Sign Languages
NISH is observing the International Week of Deaf People from 21 to 27 September 2026 with a series of programmes for and with the Deaf community. The theme for this year is “Declaring Deaf People’s Human Rights.”
The programmes aim to raise awareness about the Deaf community, highlight their achievements and contributions, promote understanding of Deaf culture and sign language, and advocate for an inclusive society where Deaf people can participate and thrive on an equal basis.
