Sankar is a former partner of McKinsey & Company, who led McKinsey's healthcare practice, initially in India, and then in Greater China. At McKinsey, in addition to serving clients, Sankar was the global Dean of the key leadership development program for consultants. He was also the head of the recruiting team for McKinsey's India office. After 14 years in McKinsey, Sankar left the firm in July 2006 to set up as an independent consultant in the not-for-profit/ development sector in India.
Since leaving McKinsey, Sankar has focused on developing sustainable solutions to developmental challenges in healthcare and education. He has worked with a global foundation in India to assess the impact of their programs for AIDS prevention and develop an organizational model for the future. He has been a strategic advisor to a leading non-profit institution in India for the hearing-impaired to help develop a blueprint for its growth path and enhance effectiveness of delivery. Till recently, Sankar was also working with a multi country organization for the blind to develop and establish an international institute for social entrepreneurship. He was recently invited by a leading private University in the US to guide students to effectively support developmental initiatives in India. He continues to help global clients develop top team effectiveness, is lead faculty on some of McKinsey's worldwide leadership development programs, and serves on the advisory boards of a multinational pharmaceutical company and two fast growing companies in the technology sector.
Sankar holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, graduating in the top 5 of his class. He holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Kerala, finishing college first, and University third rank across all branches.

Editorial Boards: Dilip serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Marketing Research, and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology and Marketing Letters. He was recently named as one of the "professors to watch for" by the Financial Times (London) newspaper. He is the recipient of several teaching and research awards.
Current Research: Dilip's current research focuses on "helping people help themselves." In this work, he used informational (e.g. financial literacy), facilitative (e.g., budgeting tools, communication devices like mobile phones and the Internet) and behavioural (e.g., self-control guidelines) interventions to help people achieve financial sufficiency. This research is being done in Canada, India, China, and Thailand, and is partially funded by grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, The Desautels Center, and the AIC Institute at the Rotman School. He also does similar research in the area of health behaviours, energy conservation, garbage and recycling, and time management.
Other areas of research include consumer psychology, pricing, and marketing strategy.
Published Work, Consulting and Executive Teaching: Dilip's book, Managing Customer Value: One Stage at a Time (co-authored with S. NMarandi) has just been published by World Scientific Publishing. He has published over 50 scholarly articles, book chapters, and papers in publications like the Harvard Business Review, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science, Marketing Letters, Journal of Behavioral Decision Making and Journal of Advertising. Dilip is also a sought-after executive trainer, applied researcher and consultant.
Divya is a consultant in the not-for-profit sector in India, focused on helping organizations in this sector develop sustainable growth strategies.
Earlier, Divya was Head of Investments at SBI Funds, an asset management company managing one of India's largest mutual funds, with almost a billion US dollars of assets under management. Before this, she was fund manager for the largest portfolio managed by the AMC.
Currently, Divya works closely with a leading non-profit institution for the hearing-impaired in India to help develop and implement an aggressive growth strategy. She has been an advisor and part time faculty at an international institute for social entrepreneurs in India, set up by a multi-country organization for the blind. She was recently invited by a leading private University in the US to guide students to effectively support developmental initiatives in India. In addition, Divya has been a volunteer teacher for slum children in Mumbai and for primary school children both in Hong Kong and in Trivandrum.
Divya holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where she was awarded the Usha Fair Scholarship for academic excellence. Before this, she graduated with honors in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. She is an alumni of La Martiniere School, Kolkata. .

NISH offers courses for students who are Deaf & Hard of Hearing as well as professional training courses for students aspiring to serve the differently abled.
The Higher Education Foundation Program (HEFP) is a one-year foundation program which prepares students who have successfully completed their higher secondary education to be active participants in the enhancement of their own learning, as well as in their development and achievement as Degree students. Simultaneously, the training they receive over the one year better prepares students for the Degree Admission Competency Exam (DACE) in which they must achieve a passing score for admission to the Degree program.
Undergraduate programs in Bachelor of Computer Science (B. Sc. Computer Science), Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), and Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) are offered at NISH exclusively for students with hearing impairment. The Degree (HI) courses at NISH are affiliated to the University of Kerala.
To create trained professionals who are capable of addressing the needs of individuals with various communication and swallowing disorders, NISH runs undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. NISH aims to provide quality training for undergraduate (BASLP) and postgraduate (M.Sc. Audiology) students of the ASLP courses by integrating clinical and theoretical practice into their academic curriculum. The ASLP courses are affiliated to Kerala University and recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
DISLI is a diploma level course recognized by the RCI. Its primary goal is to prepare skilled and qualified personnel who can contribute to the field of Deaf education and rehabilitation. The course facilitates the acquisition of expertise in interpreting Indian Sign Language in verbal languages and vice versa. The DISLI graduates will work as interpreters in schools, colleges and other institutes where the Deaf population study and work, and will interpret wherever interpreting services are required.
A Diploma in Early Childhood Special Education (DECSE) is a one-year diploma program approved by the RCI for generating professional support in the area of early intervention for children with Hearing Impairment. The course aims to generate quality teachers who could meet the challenges of the millennium for sustained development in children with hearing impairment in the age range from birth to six years.
NIM-TIE is a 15 week-long training program which aims to address the needs of teachers of the special population (with a focus on Deaf students and their education) and equip them with the requisite knowledge, skills and attributes to become efficient educators of students with disabilities. It has become a requirement that all new teaching staff recruited for the DHI program, successfully complete NIM-TIE prior to entering the classroom as a full-time teacher at NISH.
