Centre for Communication and Media Development (CCMD) is an initiative that caters for persons with different abilities. CCMD intends to serve the tasks of developing print/interactive/online teaching and learning materials, public awareness materials, E-books in Indian Sign Language (ISL), therapy materials, and daily news broadcasting in ISL.  The centre also supports seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns organized by the departments at NISH: in the preparation of leaflets, brochures, handbooks etc.
