National Center for assistive technology - Center of Assistive Technology and Innovation (NCAHT -CATI), NISH is organising the most prestigious event Empower preconference and Student Design Challenge for the first time on 11th and 12th at Marigold Auditorium, NISH. The two-day Pre-conference and Student Design Challenge is scheduled at NISH so as to integrate Rehabilitation professionals (Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech language pathologists), Psychologists, Medical Professionals, Design Engineers, Social Workers and students under one umbrella. The main goal of this pre-conference is to strengthen the AT coherence across the country through the integration of instructional knowledge and information technology. This will be an excellent avenue for the exchange of AT related information among the various AT stakeholders such as researchers, AT policymakers, people with disabilities, special educators, entrepreneurs, NGOs, investors and designers who are interested in the development of affordable AT solutions
