The International Advisory Board of NISH was formed with the following goals:

The 'eyes and ears' for NISH in the places so as to inform the latest developments and practices in educating and rehabilitating individuals with disabilities

Ambassadors of NISH to the world at large

Strategic advisors to NISH in their specific area of expertise

The collective advisors to NISH, guiding it on its path forward

The current members of this advisory body consist of individuals who have contributed significantly in their field of research and practice. Additionally they share a common passion for the integration of individuals with disabilities in society. The advisors serve on a voluntary basis.

The first meeting of the group of Advisors was convened on April 20, 2009. The advisors meet several times virtually using conference calls. Ms. Divya Krishnan has been nominated as the Coordinator for the International Advisory Board of NISH.
