The Master of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (MASLP) is a post graduate level programme affiliated to the University of Kerala and recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The total number of seats is 10. The minimum educational requirement for admission to the programme will be Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from any recognised university with minimum pass percentage as per University norms. The curriculum consists of theory and practical classes in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and allied subjects such as Linguistics, Statistics etc. The total duration of this postgraduate degree Program is for 2 years consisting of four semesters.
N.B: The MASLP program under the University of Kerala will be discontinued from 2019 – 2020 academic year onwards. The affiliation procedures for new postgraduate program under Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) is under process.
The Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology is a graduate level programme affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Its main aim is to generate skilled and efficient manpower to work effectively with persons having communication disorders. They have opportunities to work in hospitals, special schools, speech and hearing institutes, hearing instrument manufacturing industry, government and non-government agencies working for the disabled as well as to do independent practice. Excellent opportunities await abroad for higher studies and practice.
